Nostalgic View

This premium quality giclee print is a reproduction of my original mixed media painting titled Nostalgic View. Ever since I began painting in my early forties, I’ve had a penchant for old stuff like farm trucks and buildings or the worn out doors and windows of the abandoned farmhouses. These relics, for me, represent people’s experiences of years gone by and often when I see one still holding its own in a field, I imagine the stories it could tell us if it could talk.  Then my imagination takes over and soon I am brought back to my own childhood memories of living on a farm with thirteen brothers and sisters and two hard working parents who never gave up hope.
